Abstract
A method is presented for determining the density of points in a multidimensional space based on a search for the nearest points to preselected test values. The primary interest in such a procedure lies in comparing sets of event files (such as those which typically arise in modern nuclear and particle physics experiments) with theoretically generated sets or with each other.
