Abstract

Broccoli is a vegetable that should be in everyone’s diet but unfortunately in Romania is not so spread, its cultivation doesn’t have a history and most of the people don’t know it and don’t eat it. Because it’s not cultivated enough in Romania and it is brought from import, means that the price of this vegetable is very high. We want to prove that it’s not so hard to grow broccoli because the plant is quite resistant and doesn’t have high demands regarding soil and temperature. Broccoli has fleshy flower heads, usually green in color sprouting from a thick, edible stalk. Broccoli is also high in vitamin C, calcium and soluble fiber and multiple nutrients with anti-cancer properties, especially prostate cancer.
