Abstract

Densities and viscosities of binary mixtures of N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) with benzyl alcohol and acetophenone have been measured at (298.15, 303.15, 308.15, and 313.15) K. Using the experimental data, excess molar volumes (VE) and deviations in viscosity (Δη) have been calculated. The excess molar volumes and deviations in viscosity have been fitted to the Redlich−Kister polynomial equation. McAllister's three-body interaction model has been used to correlate the kinematic viscosities of binary liquid mixtures with mole fractions.
