Abstract

PPG signals plays a prominent role in the diagnosis and analysis of heart rate. PPG signals are corrupted by various types of noise such as power line noise and motion artifacts. In the proposed paper, PPG signals are denoised based on thresholding of wavelet packet coefficients. To show the effectiveness of the proposed method, the results were compared with adaptive filters like Least Mean Square (LMS), Normalized Least Mean Square (NLMS), Recursive Least Square (RLS) filters and Savitzky-Golay filter.
