Abstract

there are various noise estimation methods available for signal de-noising that may result at different de-noising results. Over-de-noising may also distort original signal and the harm at signal is inestimable due to unknown of the original signal and noise. This paper proposes to de-noise signal at maximum noise reduction and minimum signal attenuation (MNRMSA), and give relative MNRMSA criterion for close-loop-de-noising judgment. The proposed method evaluates the signal and noise attenuation during de-noising by analyzing signal and noise autocorrelation, and is independent from the de-noising approach and algorithm. A real world de-noising problem is studied with three different noise estimation methods and with proposed method, indicating the proposed method can effectively illustrate the optimal de-noising result from several de-noising results.
