Abstract

The objectives of this article are to: describe denitrification and the factors known to affect its rate, present current methods available for the measurement of denitrification rate, summarize available estimates of denitrification rate, and attempt to provide guidelines on how to account for potential denitrification losses in fertilizer programs.
