Abstract

SUMMARYIn his second article (cp. Nord. Psykol., 1965, 17, 323–334) the author describes the role of parent-child relations in the development of delinquent pathology in young girls. Case illustrations are presented stressing the importance of the mother's guilt-feelings reversals of mother-daughter roles and hidden delinquent tendencies in the mother herself. Aspects of father-daughter relations with special reference to sexual and authority problems are illustrated.Four developmental patterns are discussed and illustrated: 1. Well compensated behaviour disturbances before puberty/delinquent acting out in adolescence/subsequent stabilization.2. Ego-weak behaviour disturbance with early and deep damage to personality/continuing delinquent life pattern in early and late adolescence.3. Overprotected, infantile personality/temporary delinquency/subsequent stabilization.4. Acute and transient stress reaction in adolescence in earlier well adjusted personality.
