Abstract

This practical, easy-to-read book covers a range of important issues related to health informatics and clinical governance in primary care. While not all practitioners are convinced of the benefits of informatics in health care, this book will help to change the mindset of sceptics. The introduction asserts that clinical governance and health informatics are mutually supportive partners. It makes clear that the reader will find useful material on teamwork, organisational learning and patient-focused care, and little on the inner workings of computer technology.
