Abstract

Microbodies of liver and kidney can be visualized by light and electron microscopy (fig.5) with an alkaline modification of the Graham and Karnovsky peroxidase method, based on oxidation of 3—3' diaminobenzidine (DAB). The reaction does not occur in the presence of 3-amino-1, 2, 4 triazole, an inhibitor of catalase, suggesting that staining is due to peroxidatic activity of catalase.
