Abstract

AbstractThe research aims at identifying the factors that determine the occurrence of demographic problems in the Russian regions, as well as defining the guidelines of state policy for their solution. The novelty of the study consists in conducting a comprehensive economic and statistical analysis of changes in the demographic situation of Russian regions through the prism of the situation in the health system and environmental safety of territories. The authors evaluate the natural population growth in the Russian regions and analyze the long-term dynamics of the indicator of life expectancy at birth. The authors evaluate the dynamics of indicators reflecting the degree of readiness and ability of the healthcare system to solve the problem of slowing down population growth in Russian regions. The article examines the factors of environmental safety of the regions, reveals their impact on the demographic situation.
