Abstract

AbstractThe contribution examines the relationship between gaming experience and awareness of VR technologies of various demographic groups in the Russian consumer market in the context of the current development of these technologies in Russia. The authors pay special attention to the Russian market following the trends of international studies related to the issues of the relationship between the gaming community and the use of VR technologies. Based on a sociological survey through online questionnaires and in-depth interviews among the three main demographic groups that are consumers of gaming content in Russia, it is concluded that it is necessary to promote VR technologies through platforms associated with the video game community. The work provides specific recommendations on the use of various platforms for further promotion of VR devices, taking into account the specifics of the Russian consumer market, as well as interactions within gaming communities.KeywordsGamer marketGaming experienceImmersive technologiesVR marketingVR-technologies
