Abstract
Abstract Democritus of Abdera, one of the first atomists and Aristotle the great philosopher and systematiser radically disagreed on what the world was made of. Democritus said there were atoms and empty space, while Aristotle’s view was that there were no atoms and no empty space. There were further disagreements on how to explain phenomena, how many worlds there were and how this world had come about.
