Abstract

The results of the experimental research of the δ-electrons yield from the thin aluminum foil are presented. The thickness range of the aluminum foils is \(8 \ldots 100\) µm. The energy of primary electrons varies from 2.5 to 30 MeV. The values of the average cross section for δ-electron production (generation and emission) from aluminum were obtained. It has been established that for 8 µm Al foil it is about \(8.17 \cdot 10^{ - 23}\) cm2. Finally, comparisons of the obtained results with the calculated ones are discussed.
