Abstract

In the following article, the author analyses the activities of the Lower Styrian deputy Radoslav Razlag in the Styrian Provincial Assembly between 1865 and 1868, when he gave up his mandate. If we disregard the German conservative Michael Hermann, who had joined the Slovenian camp and represented the Slovenian "colours" ever since the restoration of the Austrian constitutional life, the Slovenian side did not win its first term until as late as 1865. In the Provincial Assembly, Razlag – together with Hermann and later Josip Vošnjak – resolutely represented the Styrian Slovenians and argued in favour of the federalist system in Austria.
