Abstract

In Syria, like in other traditional communities and given the present war situation, pregnant women may have the deliveries at home with the help of a local midwife. The policy of the medical open border between Israel and Syria enables high-risk pregnant Syrian women to deliver in a modern well-equipped medical center, improving the outcomes for both the women and their offspring.
