He is author of Guilty Creatures: Renaissance Poetry and the Ethics of Authorship (2001) and editor of Solon and Thespis: Law and Theater in the English Renaissance (2007). His essays “Shakespeare's Guilt Trip in Henry V” and “Law/Form/History: Shakespeare's Verdict in All Is True” appeared in the September 2000 and March 2002 issues of MLQ.
