Abstract
The author treats of a proposal set up in 1980 in the Research Institute of Areal Development and Changes in Ostrava as an aim of delimitating agglomerations in CSR. It is to be used in planning, prognosticating agglomerations, towns and other regional units. The author describes theoretical results, applied methods and criteria. In the conclusion he delimitates 10 town agglomerations in the area of CSR. Their list with detailed data of their extent, number of population, density of population and proportion of population working in industry are given in Table 1.
