Abstract

Myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN) are chronic blood cancers characterized by overproduction of blood cells of the erythroid and myeloid lineages. Thrombosis, progression to myelofibrosis, and transformation to acute leukemia represent major causes of morbidity and mortality in MPN patients.
