Abstract

The delayed appearance of psychosomatic skin disorders in survivors of concentration camps as a reaction to traumatic emotional experiences has been discussed. This phenomenon bas been studied in 105 patients and illustrated by means of a case study, and the underlying psychodynamics have been analysed. The mechanism of the delayed reaction has been discussed In terms of stress and conflict and their interaction.
