Abstract

The dehydrogenative coupling of methane by use of a thermal diffusion reactor with the function of hydrogen separation from the top of heated tungsten wire at 1300°C, was resulted in the complete separation of hydrogen and C2 compounds. With increasing the ratio of the top gas withdrawn, the methane conversion and the higher hydrocarbon formation were enhanced.
