Abstract

AbstractHomoionic montmorillonites, with exchangeable alkaline and alkaline earth cations, have been studied by means of DTA. The activation energy of dehydration of cations was deduced by applying kinetic considerations to thermograms, obtained experimentally. The results are in good agreement with the literature.
