Abstract
Degradation of glycerol-2-(vanillic acid) ether (1) which is a catabolic intermediate of guaiacylglycerol-β-(vanillic acid) ether, the most important lignin substructure model, by Fusarium solani M―13―1 was investigated. Compound 1 was completely degraded without accumulation of detectable amounts of catabolic products.
