Abstract

On remote area, which not coverage by full time standby personnel, telemetry in telecommunication system is critical factor. This factor also included safety shutdown system communication signal when a production process failure or emergency situation occurred. Those factors need reliability power supply, in other side there was limitation space on offshore platform for equipment installation. One of solutions to solve this problem is using Closed Cycle Vapor Turbogenerator. This machine uses Close Rankine Cycle to make continuous rotating prime mover produced voltage from alternator which single shafted to turbine wheel. The combustion process for produce power coming from indirect ignition. The vapor produced from Trichlorobenzene which heat up from burner, continuous fuel coming from instrument gas. This fuel gas naturally lifted up from gas well on offshore or remote area. Closed cycle processed need requirement at vacuum condition. Consequences if not in vacuum, there will generate non-condensable gas into closed cycle processed, this produced liquid and make condenser become high temperature and power reliability will decrease because output voltage will be limited by condenser temperature. This anomaly must be solved by put back this closed cycle into vacuum condition, and put out trapped liquid from noncondensable gas. This action will return CCVT back to optimal running condition.
