Abstract
Some results of deformed Hartree-Fock calculations for s-d shell nuclei are presented. A phenomenological effective interaction due to Gogny has been used which consists of two Gaussians plus a delta interaction depending on the density as ϱ 1 3 . The trend of deformation properties in this region is rather well reproduced.
