Abstract
The governing equations for plane stress deformations of isotropic incompressible hyperelastic materials are highly nonlinear and consequently very few exact solutions are known. The Varga material is the only material in which general results are known. A recent paper by the authors revealed a linearization for the governing equations for the plane strain case of the Varga material. In this paper we show similar results for the plane stress case where we show the governing equations are also linearizable.
