Abstract

The upper-Jurassic soils of Moscow, which are frequently the bed and medium on which underground structures and deep pits are installed, are examined. Archival materials derived from surveys are statistically processed using the theory of correlation-regression analysis, and correlation relations between the compression modulus based on plate-test data and the physical parameters and specific resistance of the soil under the tip of the probe are investigated during static probing. Factors for conversion from the compression modulus of the soils examined to the compression modulus as determined by a plate are obtained.
