Abstract

The mechanical responses of TRIP590 AHSS at different loading rates under combined shear-tension condition have been investigated through shear-tension specimen. The deformation behaviors are analyzed through DIC technology and the fracture mechanisms also have been discussed. The degree of strain concentration is sensitive to loading rate and exhibits increases with loading rate which implies that loading rate increases the deformability of STS. The fracture mechanism is sensitive to loading rate and exhibits changes from dimple dominate in low loading rate to the combinations of deep dimples, inclusion or carbide, melts exist in fusion area at a higher loading rate which results in the changes of mechanical response of material.
