Abstract

Design algorithms and software have been developed to determine the stress-strain state (SSS) in wettable loess beds beneath foundations with various planforms. The finite-element method, numerical methods, and modern computer techniques are employed. Results of numerical experiments are compared with data derived from large-scale field tests.
