Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this paper is to present a framework for modelling the deformation behaviour of friction welded hybrid structures. The constitutive model is developed for large deformations and nonlinear material behaviour. Moreover, to demonstrate the model's applicabilities, it was implemented into a finite element system (ABAQUS). Subsequently, the simulation results were critically evaluated using experimental data.
