Abstract

1. We investigated the compressive strength of metal-glass materials and their deformability in dependence on the percentage content of glass, the porosity, and the sintering temperature. 2. Extremal values, a maximum at 850°C and a minimum at 900–950°C, are observed in the dependences of the ultimate compressive strength, the axial deformability Ad, and the radial deformability Rd on the sintering temperature. 3. It was shown that theσco value and the deformability can be described by Ryshkewitsh's equation. However, the B value is not constant in this case; it depends on the type of deformation and the sintering temperature.
