Abstract
Many convex and concave slopes are identified in the Nakatsu River Basin, where almost all the land collapses have occurred at the boundary between both slopes.Based on the geomorphologic land classification, Nakatsugawa Forest Office has planned to limit the deforestation only on the convex slopes and remain the concave slopes as conservation forests in order to prevent the disasters.
