Abstract

The article is devoted to the problem of defining the notions of «responsibility» and «responsible attitude». The content of these concepts is revealed in the context of philosophy, psychology and pedagogics. The paper draws attention to the importance of fostering a responsible attitude of future teachers because the current stage of development of teacher’s education requires the training of highly qualified professionals who can responsibly perform their professional duties. After conducting a retrospective analysis of the concept «responsible attitude», it was concluded that it is based on the broader concepts of «responsibility» and «attitude». Responsibility involves the individual’s awareness of the nature and significance of their activities, their consequences for others and the society, and freedom of choice, though, livelihood, and individual compliance with moral norms.
