Abstract

AbstractAim: AI is the use of algorithms and software to mimic human cognitive function. AI is the ability for computer algorithms to approximate conclusions without direct human input. A brief description of big data and the 4V’s of big data and its use in healthcare will be given during this lecture. This lecture aims to explain the basic definition in artificial intelligence techniques which have been found useful in the medial applications. The three categories of AI devices, mainly the classical machine learning techniques, the deep learning techniques and the natural language processing (NLP) methods will be reviewed.
