Abstract

The history and development of the definition of sexual harassment in the 'Sex Discrimination Act (SDA) 1984' are discussed. The central concerns of the many critiques that are made of the definition, particularly those raised by feminist commentators are outlined with a brief consideration of the social and legal context for the enactment of the sexual harassment provisions in the SDA.
