Abstract

Bag-mask ventilation (BMV) is a lifesaving skill required of neonatal and pediatric practitioners, including all those who hold NRP and PALS certification. As neonatal and pediatric practice evolves and further specializes, trainee exposure and opportunity to perform BMV has changed. There exists no standardized definition or measurement of competency in this procedure.
