Abstract
We obtain the effective-range expansion of the $\ensuremath{\eta}d$ system for seven different theoretical models of the two-body interactions. The expansion reproduces very well the theoretical scattering amplitudes for center-of-mass energies up to 100 MeV. Using this expansion we calculate the position of the $\ensuremath{\eta}\mathrm{NN}$ quasivirtual state in the complex energy plane as it is predicted by each theoretical model.
