Abstract
Abstract The electronic structure of defects in some canonical amorphous semiconductors, namely a-Se, a-As, a-Si: H, a-GaAs, a-Si3N4 and a-SiO2, is reviewed. The mechanism of substitutional doping in hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si: H) is also critically considered.
