Defect Analysis and Productivity Enhancement of Crankcase Casting through Pareto Analysis,pokayoke and Qc Tools

Abstract

Productivity is very important aspect in any organisation. Productivity means output obtained with respect to how much input is provided.To increase the productivity of any organisation it is necessary to study and analyse the rejection data of that organisation.This research focuses on the need of following a proper methodology in solving any particular problem. The defects were prioritised using QC tools, Pareto analysis. This research emphasizes on the importance of focusing on critical parameters contributing to major rejection and controlling that in order to improve Productivity.
