Abstract
Deepwater pipeline failure may lead to huge economic lost and even environmental pollution. Research on deepwater pipeline emergency repair method is very important for safe marine oil production. This paper discussed deepwater pipeline damages and their patterns first. Then corresponding countermeasures were investigated. The demand analyses of necessary maintain equipment used in repairing was introduced and some typical repair processes were suggested. Finally, key technical problems such as seal property assessment of pipe connectors and clamps, pipeline configuration control during lifting operation to avoid a second injury were analyzed.
