Abstract

Introduction: Cardiac computed tomography angiography (CTA) is an emerging imaging modality for diagnosing cardiovascular diseases. Quantitative assessment of the heart requires measurement of various cardiovascular structures which is often performed manually. Recently, deep learning (DL) methods have shown great promise in medical image analysis. However, DL requires large and high-quality training labels which is often scarce due to its labor intensive nature. We aim to develop a fully automatic artificial intelligence (AI) system based on a large computer-labeled dataset for accurate and rapid CTA segmentation.
