Abstract

The advent of photocatalytic biotechniques has transformed the life science landscapes. Recently in Nature Chemistry, Rovis, Fadeyi, Oslund, and co-workers reported a protein environment proximity labeling platform that exploits triplet nitrenes generated via deep-red-light (660 nm) photoredox, paving the way for profiling spatial molecular connections in complex physiological environments.
