Abstract
Structural study of Palaeozoic folds has been followed by fractal and structural analyses of the fault network in the rock mass underlying the Upper Silesian-Cracovian giant Zn-Pb ore deposits of Mississippi Valley-type. Spatial distribution of the ore occurrences plotted against a background of the results of tectonic study points to determined basement fractures and related Palaeozoic secondary faults as to the zones that enable short-distance flow of mineralising solutions.
