Abstract

Deep brain stimulation of the internal segment of the globus pallidus (GPi-DBS) has been reported effective in reducing motor disability and improving quality of life for medication-refractory primary generalized dystonia. In patients with medication-refractory cervical dystonia (CD), the experience with GPi-DBS is limited.
