Introduction

Information seeking is very useful for day-to-day activities with regards to pre and post-financial transactions among banking institutions and other financial outlets in general. Online banking transactions have grown at an exponential rate due to the high intensity of competition among banks and non-banking institutions. This phenomenon in today’s technological era has attracted a growing interest by scholars and industry players con­ cerning the effectiveness and efficiency characterized by service delivery in both production and service-based organizations (Botchway et al, 2019; Ernst & Young, 2011; Mogaji et al, 2016).
