Abstract

Background: Face pareidolia is complex visual illusion in which one perceives ambiguous objects as faces. Although face pareidolia may occur in healthy subjects, previous studies reported Parkinsonʼs disease (PD) patients experience it much frequently. However, neural mechanism of pareidolia is unclear.
