Abstract

Abstract The Cambro-Ordovician formations of the western Sudan region, French West Africa, consist of a lower schist-limestone marine series, a glauconitic marine series, and an upper sandy continental series. An unconformity, marked by the presence of a basal conglomerate, has been recognized at the base of the upper series; another may be present between the two lower series.
