Abstract

The transistor based on decoration of Au nanoparticles on a continuous monolayer molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) film prepared by chemical vapor deposition, has a surprising electrical and optoelectronic properties. The continuous monolayer MoS2 film is decorated with Au nanoparticles via an ion beam sputtering method. Au nanoparticles on the surface of MoS 2 form surface plasmon resonance with MoS 2 when a laser beam illuminates them. In this paper, we compare the difference between monolayer MoS2 transistor based on decoration of Au nanoparticles and bare monolayer MoS 2 transistor. At some aspects, MoS 2 transistor based on decoration of Au nanoparticles is better than MoS 2 transistor, such as, the sensitivity of light. Thus, the decoration of Au nanoparticles on transistor possess potential application in the electric and optoelectronic industry in the future.
