Abstract

Abstract Application of green manure to flooded rice soils resulted in enhanced degradation of all four isomers of hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH) including the most persistent beta isomer. This suggests the possibility of using this agricultural practice for lowering the residue levels of HCH in soil.
