Abstract
We study Morse decompositions according to the connected components of rotation sets for a class of twist maps on the high-dimensional cylinder. If the rotation set is contained in the union of n pairwise disjoint closed intervals, then a Morse decomposition with n Morse sets is constructed. Moreover, it can be continued to nearby systems with Morse sets being upper semicontinuous. We also investigate the dynamics within the Morse sets.
