Abstract
Background and Aim: Cirrhosis is a leading cause of mortality worldwide. Sarcopenia is also an under-recognized complication of cirrhosis which leads to physical disability and functional decline, thereby leading to poor quality of life. Moreover, it negatively impacts survival, hence is associated with poor prognosis and increased mortality both before and after liver transplantation (LT).
